19/11/09 - If at first you don't succeed...

A South Korean woman has finally passed her driving theory test on her 950th attempt.

Cha Sa-soon, 68, passed the written exam with a score of 60% last week, said Choi Young-chul, a police official at the drivers’ licence agency in Jeonju, 210km south of Seoul.

The grandmother has taken the test every day since 13 April 2005, pausing only for weekends and holidays, and has spent more than 5m won (£2,600) in the process.
Cha Sa-soon needs a driving licence for her vegetable-selling business. She said: “I felt so ashamed of myself for failing so many times but I simply could not give it up. I still have to pass the real driving test, but I think it will be easier for me to pass than the paper test.”

Unfortunately for Cha Sa-soon 5DAY don’t operate intensive driving courses in South Korea.
