Theory test questions

New questions are being introduced in January for car and motorcycle theory test candidates. For the first time, answers to the multiple choice questions will not be published and available to the candidate prior to their test.

Peter Weddell-Hall, head of e-assessment, said: “The new questions will cover the same topics
as the old ones but we want learner drivers and riders to understand the principles behind safe driver theory. No longer publishing the questions and answers will ensure candidates have a better understanding of driving theory, rather than memorising questions and answers.”
